Dance Awakening is a dance school founded by Mat, Sergio, and Sofia located in Miami, Florida offering dance classes in Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, Salsa, Zumba and more. We are here to share an art in motion with you alongside all the joy and richness that we have discovered in our journey. We focus on connection to the self, your partner, & movement. Learn dance foundations and technique from patient instructors who listen to your questions while explaining every movement and step in detail. MAT DANE
Director of Business Development
Born & raised in Miami, Mat is an entrepreneur and influencer in the local and international dance community. Mat focuses organizing events, mentoring others, and growing the dance community. Contact him for dance events & artist collaboration!
SERGIO SANTIAGO
Director of Dance & Instructor
Sergio has trained in various dance styles beginning in 2010 and has since primarily focused on Bachata and Brazilian Zouk. He is now the director of dance and instructor at Dance Awakening and shares his dance knowledge emphasizing the internal growth that can be acquired through the art of partner dance.

JESSICA LYNN
Jessica trained and performed in the top Salsa and Bachata schools in Chicago and is now bringing her amazing skills over to Miami. We love having your talent and attention to detail in class.
JESSICA OVIEDO
Jessica began training dance at the age of 5 and has fallen in love with partner and fitness dance. She does it all from the heart weather it's Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, Salsa or Zumba! Her energy is amazing and we are so excited for you to learn with her!
